Day 1 | 2 | ARRIVAL IN SAN FRANCISCO

Arrive in San Francisco, where you will spend two nights. Plenty of time to enjoy one of the most beautiful cities in America.

Day 3 | ARRIVAL IN SAN FRANCISCO – Santa Maria

Time for brief stops in Monterey and Carmel. Then drive along the rugged California coast with scenic vista points, Big Sur and state parks with trails leading to waterfalls and redwoods. By late afternoon you’ll drop down to sea level where you can stop to see the elephant seal nursery on Piedras Blancas Beach and view Hearst Castle. 300 Miles | 480 Km

Day 4 | 5 | SANTA MARIA – LOS ANGELES/ANAHEIM AREA

Continue to Los Angeles. On the way visit the Danish village of Solvang and stop in Santa Barbara which offers delightful historic Spanish-colonial architecture, lots of shopping, restaurants and an inviting beach. Stay two nights in Disneyland area. 210 Miles | 336 Km

Day 6 | ANAHEIM – FLAGSTAFF

Day 7 | FLAGSTAFF – GRAND CANYON – FLAGSTAFF

A full day to spend exploring the Majestic Grand Canyon National Park, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

Day 8 | FLAGSTAFF – MESA VERDE

A scenic day of dramatic scenery. As you drive through Kayenta you have the opportunity to make a side trip to Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park where you can book a guided tour through the cluster of vast sandstone buttes. Continue to Mesa Verde known best for its fabulous cliff dwellings – whole towns built into protected alcoves. 280 Miles | 448 Km

Day 9 | MESA VERDE – MOAB

Day 10 | MOAB – VERNAL

Continue to Vernal near Dinosaur National Monument. Here, millions of years of prehistoric life unfold before your eyes. A jumble of over 2000 fossilized bones, some as small as a hand, others longer than a man, have been exposed and preserved in the rock walls. 160 Miles | 225 Km

Day 11 | 12 | VERNAL – YELLOWSTONE

Yellowstone is an amazing park: it preserves the largest concentration of geothermal activity anywhere in the world and it protects enormous herds of bison, elk, and other animals. Two days will give you time to enjoy many of Yellowstone’s many natural wonders. 370 Miles | 595 Km

Day 13 | YELLOWSTONE – SALT LAKE CITY

After a scenic drive you will reach Salt Lake City – the headquarters of the Mormon religion. Visit the Temple Square and see the imposing Mormon Temple. The Tabernacle is home to the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir. 380 Miles | 611 Km

Day 14 | SALT LAKE CITY – CAPITOL REEF

Travel to Capitol Reef National Park which is named for the enormous rock ridge that runs through it for more than 150 Km. Several trails and drives provide scenic views of the park.

Day 15 | CAPITOL REEF – BRYCE CANYON

On your way to Bryce Canyon you will be travelling through some of the most beautiful landscape in America. The pinnacles and spires of Bryce Canyon appear almost fragile. You can drive to different overlooks, walk along the rim or take one of the loop trails through the colorful rock formations called “Hoo-Doos.” 120 Miles | 192 Km

Day 16 | BRYCE CANYON – ZION

After a short drive reach Zion National Park where desert terrain and huge, sculpted rock formations coexist with waterfalls and hanging gardens. Enjoy the Zion Canyon, a spectacular gorge carved through strangely colored sandstone by the Virgin River. 84 Miles | 134 Km

Day 17 | 18 | ZION – LAS VEGAS
